We are delighted to have the opportunity for MA Landscape Architecture students from UEL to work with us and focus some of their academic year on the Wandle Valley. This will include research, surveys, photographs, temporary art projects and large-scale design ideas. They will share their work with us throughout the year, culminating in an end of year show at our seminar in February 2019.
Wayfinding
They have already got off to a great start by surveying the ‘missing link’ of the Wandle Trail in Earlsfield and coming up with wayfinding ideas and presenting us with various options. Once we agreed which style we preferred, they were quick to produce the sign using acrylic sheets and fixing them to posts.
Green audit
The students have produced a green infrastructure audit for the South Wimbledon Business Area. They highlight the reasons for more green infrastructure and the benefits on a health, social, economic and biodiversity scale.
