It is with real sadness to announce that Sue Morgan – the Trust’s CEO – will be leaving us in January 2019 to take up an exciting new role with the Design Council, as their new Director of Architecture and the Built Environment.
Sue has been CEO for five years and has achieved a huge amount in that time, working tirelessly for the Wandle Valley and its many partners and communities, across all four boroughs. We will miss her passion, commitment, and considerable talent and skills and, on behalf of the Board and all those that she has worked with in this time, I would like to say a deep and sincere “thank you” to Sue for all that she has achieved in taking forward both the Wandle Valley Regional Park, and the Trust as an organisation. We will miss Sue, and obviously wish her all the very best in her new role.
We’ll be holding farewell drinks for Sue in January, and no doubt this will be a fitting occasion to properly acknowledge her contribution and achievements over the past five years.
We are currently finalising plans for an interim CEO to ensure some handover with Sue, whilst reviewing the process for making a permanent appointment. We will keep all partners and stakeholders informed.
