Overview

This project aims to enhance a 50m length of the river at Ravensbury Park by creating narrow, sinuous channel together with a new scalloped bank edge planted with appropriate vegetation.

Works on site are expected to start in June 2016.

Preparation for this project has so far involved consultation, designing the scheme and detailed flood modelling

The Wandle Trust are working in partnership with MBC to manage this project. A contractor to carry out the works will be selected soon.

This project is part of the wider Living Wandle Landscape Partnership Scheme, supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund.
