A large Victorian cemetery laid out on a grid pattern, Bandon Hill first opened in 1900.

It still retains many original features including the entrance lodge and two chapels.

One of the notable graves is that of the composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (d.1912), whose memorial features musical notes from his composition ‘Hiawatha’.

The cemetery also contains the graves of well-known (at the time) music hall artists who died at the beginning of the 20th century.
