Located in a Garden of Remembrance beside the Carshalton Ponds, Carshalton War Memorial was unveiled on March 13th 1921, with 237 names inscribed on it. Today it displays the names of 249 men, 243 of whom died in the First World War, four in the Second World War, and two in more recent conflicts.

The garden was laid out in about 1951 on two levels with flower beds, seats and a flag pole
